Browning makes a lot of sweet s.hit
They do. Their rimfires have to be used to be appreciated. I sold a SA-22 when I moved and I need to replace it. Tbolt? I got gifted a Belgium one Believe it or not, the new ones are probably better than the Belgian 22lr rifles.

Decent. The LGS I frequent has sent a few back. They claim they're OK rifles overall.

I've seen them advertised as low as $190. I bought one a year or two ago for the girls and they choot the heck out of it with open sights. I prefer my 77/22 but the American is cheap and good so far.

Marlin does still make a variation of the Papoose. It's the 70PPS.
It makes no sense to me but to each their own.
spice of life and all that I've got a 10/22 and a variety of Winchesters. If I hate it I'll sell it for $20 less than I paid for it and move on to the next eh, I'm kidding, I don't sell guns, It will just get stuck in the back of the safe

This thread makes me laugh (in a good way). From a super vague question with no real parameters we get recommendations for everything from $150 Walmart Specials to multi-thousand $ guns from the custom shops. At least we now know it could be a lever, semi-auto, or bolt. And needs to be somewhat accurate.
Reminds me of some of the requests I get at work. "Whats it going to cost to make X product?". They then get all bug-eyed when you ask the 2,000 follow up questions that go into costing that out.

Talking guns on Easter Sunday is always time well spent. Especially when Easter is canceled.
Trump being classless, tasteless and clueless as usual. Sorry, trump is a no tax payin pile of shiit. My young wife decided to play the field and had moved several dudes into my house

Most folks live thirty miles or less from a Walmart. And you can go into said Walmart and usually walk out with one of probably at least three serviceable .22's that will do the job for you for $300 or less. That's pretty decent. Things are so jumpy nowadays that who knows if the same Walmart will have 22 ammo for the gun, but the last time I looked and bought some, they sure did. Plenty of it. 22's are great.

Cannot argue on the CZ and 77/22 recommendations. Had a variety, don't miss my 10/22, but put a Butler Creek with a CPC re-fit, chamber set back on the 77/22....using 'Aussie' made WW PP's, it dumps a mag into a itty bitty 50 yd group..... Deflave I agree on the BL22........dang if Browning could loosen up on their triggers! Many great options out there.....if the OP is reading, I asked what is your purpose of this next 22.........and do you have a preference on action type?

He did follow up with "lever, semi-auto, or bolt gun, fairly accurate". No budget or purpose given, yet.
