New York's hospitals have been overwhelmed; the ICU's have been so filled that dying patients have been lined up in corridors along with those with lesser infections. There is simply no space, medical treatment time or, resources to fully care for them.

The death toll has been so high that NYC has rented refrigerated trailers to store then bodies. Funeral homes and crematoriums are overwhelmed as well. The City has been has been burying bodies stacked on top of each other in mass graves on Hart Island.

As I've described in previous posts, I was part of the Task Force for the H1N1 virus 10 years ago (fortunately, it didn't fully develop). As part of this activity, we were briefed on Triage measures that might be needed; the decisions that have to be made to save the most people and the most productive people are rather frightening.

Two weeks ago, a doctor in a New York hospital described her experiences in the New York Times. In one case, a woman entered the ER with moderate Covid-19 symptoms, the doctor examined her, told her to sit in a chair and await treatment. The doctor returned to her other patients; she pronounced several people dead and a couple of hours later, a nurse told her the woman in the chair had died.

So, the question might be: Are people being murdered or, has there been a shortage of medical staff, equipment, facilities, etc.?

All kidding aside, if you told JiminST that the virus wasn't deadly,,,,,,You'd look pretty stupid..........
