My world has included a lot of Bradford Pear tree wrestling for the past couple of years.

This is the view from my front yard. Looks like a nice place to sit and enjoy the afternoon.

My America is an empire in the first stages of decline. None of the great historical empires have been defeated by foreign invaders. They have all been defeated from within. The scism that started in the '60s has grown and has so far resulted in erosion of many of our traditional values. That erosion and decline will continue until the communists, LGBTQ, gimme dats, lazy parasites, drug addicted criminals, and the sleezy politicians that exploit them in the unbridled pursuit of power, are the majority and control our republic. They will declare this country to be democratic socialist and turn the heartland, into the same cesspool that they have created in California. Then some weakling country like Mexico or Cuba may simply cross the border and take contriol. That time may be several decades away, and that's when historians will say the empire fell. But, it started sixty years ago and is continuing today.
I love ya KC, but I think this was supposed to be a picture thread. :-)

I spent most of November in Jackson, Wy. Almost no tourists, it was as close to perfect as a town can get.
mike r Went to Casper, Wy for several days a couple months back looking at buying up some property. Everything about Casper for me was perfect, except for the high winds which stick around for most of the year I was told. 😎 There is not much of Wyoming that I don't really, really like. Our 48th anniversary was May 6 and is the 1st time in >10 years that we didn't celebrate in Cody, Jackson or Lander. mike r

Yeah,...when I'm not mowing or cutting stuff down. The last people that lived here let it get grown up a bit.

We had a pair of Bald Eagles dogfighting over the farm today. I didn’t have time to get camera. The wind was blowing 30mph and they covered lots of ground fast. It was cool to see though.

My America? Try 1875. Certainly no later than 1930. Matter of fact, Prohibition would likely have seen me running ‘shine, just from spite. Would have been nice to live back when government was still too small to mess with everyday life much. Wife gets to hear it when we go walking in the local cemetery here, those tombstones with dates in the 1800’s get me started. I would have been fine in the early 1800s too, but I sure like repeating firearms and cartridge ammunition.
The area got smacked with high winds, hail and a twister or two last week. My America was driving around and helping neighbors cut the downed trees off the gravel roads. All of us that were able were out with saws and equipment as soon as the rain slowed, had local roads mostly cleared before the county ever showed up. Good times, seems it takes a bit of trouble to get neighbors working together, but I am sure glad I live among folks that work together when they need to, and don’t sit around whining waiting for government to rescue them. Power will not be back on to all of town until Tuesday or Wednesday, went out last Monday. Everybody just adapts and rolls on. Try that in New Yawk or LA...

In my America, I could travel freely without fear of my ballsack touching the water in hotel toilets.
Slum, there’s only one solution I’ve been told. Testosterone injections are supposed to shrink your sack up to 6th grader tight. You could also try duct taping a water wing to your balls. Either way, good luck.... 😎 Putting down the seat and sitting on that works pretty well for me.

If I were King; two years mandatory Service, incorporating military basic training a the start.
These people could be assigned anywhere, for a variety of tasks, from watching our borders to fixing potholes with the stipulation they have to be assigned somewhere far from where they grew up among completely different people.
No idea how this would work economically.
