I've been reading "The 'Fire is Going to Hell-- Run For Your Lives" threads since late 2002.
WTH are they worth? I agree with one poster: they're good for virtue signalling. Not much more.
I'm still waiting for a thread like this to boost the overall conviviality of this forum.
I'm of a similar view on Swansong threads. If you don't like it, piss off and don't let the door slam on your backside.

Oh well, it's a free country. .............Yep! A free country. We all also have the power of choice to use our remote controls and change channels should anything pop up on our TVs that we do not wish to see and hear. Same principle. Therefore..If ya see anything on here that is garbage and/or pathological in your opinion, then do some scrollin and do some clickin to other pages or to whatever you wish. Perhaps the "Hunter's Campfire" section on this site is missing one word from its heading?..... Maybe the word "ventors" or maybe "bitch" or maybe "gripe" or maybe some other word should be included?? That way you won't be shocked as much and know what to expect in the future. If da kitchen is a little too hot for ya, then maybe move to the living room.....

While this site is moving away from outdoors, hunting, fishing... so is the interest of hunters/outdoorsmen, they are just drifting off quietly, no one's going off mad, if it wasn't for posters constantly asking why, who would know. The turning from outdoors posters to KOTY contenders as the prevalent new normal is trending.
Kent there are alternative methods to stay in touch too. quite a few from the quemato group i am in regular contact with, just not through here.
