Have you ever worked on a DMS ? I did, DMS100’s - that’s the first digital switch I worked on after Step-by-Step.... they are PBX’s (private branch exchanges), unlike DMS-250’s used in long haul carriers... or 300’s for internationally.
Tandems... like which type ? Local, Chokes, Operator services, AIN (Advanced intelligent Network) systems for call pivot used to do operated assisted dialing ? EMS - Holy [bleep]... is this a joke ? Which one, the billing collection system, the OSS systems, or IT configuration systems... or did you mean the Vendor EMS.. Hell maybe you means NMS (network management system) like the 800 call number DB, or Dynamic call routing... Or hell maybe the HLR / VLR that does call roaming if you understand wireless... Or Maybe you me and LNP (local number portability dips)....
