You know that little system the PSTN (public switched telephone network) routes the 911 call too... is a switch... even a dumbass (your words) off the street could figure that.
If you did design a E911 system for real, we may already know each other - careful where you are stepping, especially if you are from Denver... I’m trying to remember who dealt with the E911 in my old company(s)... I had 35 years and was higher up in the food chain so I didn’t work with engineering, but I did know all the design pukes.

Many telecoms outsource E911 services to a vendor, and that job sucks because failures of the E911 systems come with FCC fines, and in the end the Vendor gets their tail Chewed... Meaning the guy doesn’t have an easy job but it is important.
The odds of him running into someone like me who probably wrote a good number of the things he’s developing on his platform is pretty slim, and as far as the chief architect role goes, his is probably up there. The only error one can make is assuming you know more than everyone else - at one time or another you are going to prove yourself wrong.
I was the highest rank chief architect for many years, did the FCC technical advisory board role and more but I happily find out I don’t know everything and count it a blessing to learn from others. Not so much when some comes out telling to GFY.

What I have never done, is let him or anyone else, occupy space in my head. For that, you have to say something worth remembering. To date, he has not done that, or I have not seen it.

No matter how genuine a person attempts to be in this forum, its a safe bet they are much different in real life than your impression of them from interacting here.
