Sadly, there are no winners in this mess. Only losers. But if you want to keep posting and pat yourself on the back for "winning" (what, I don't know) knock yourself out, it's a free world.

I, for one, am glad the death rate expectations were misunderstood and that we're starting to get back to life.

I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, be positive, and look forward. Most of what you and the CJG post here is just rear view mirror insults.

Many telecoms outsource E911 services to a vendor, and that job sucks because failures of the E911 systems come with FCC fines, and in the end the Vendor gets their tail Chewed...
Meaning the guy doesn’t have an easy job but it is important.

The odds of him running into someone like me who probably wrote a good number of the things he’s developing on his platform is pretty slim, and as far as the chief architect role goes, his is probably up there. The only error one can make is assuming you know more than everyone else - at one time or another you are going to prove yourself wrong.

I was the highest rank chief architect for many years, did the FCC technical advisory board role and more but I happily find out I don’t know everything and count it a blessing to learn from others.
Not so much when some comes out telling to GFY.

Anyway if Ducks a system arch. For E911, that is a rare talent not easily come by... all good, and it’s a important job.

Brother Fubar, I don’t know if it’s entirely fair to claim Duck was promoting panic. The guy’s daughter was headed off to Boston to attend to a hotel full of homeless coronavirus patients. I read him as freaked (and proud) that his little girl was being thrust into a still largely unknown scenario. A scenario the media and then even our President claimed was becoming serious. I don’t fault him for this. Beyond that, I don’t know what he said or did as I became less focused on the coronavirus in general and more focused on Elkslayer91 and Fubarski.
