I would pick the Browning if you intend to leave it stock. Pick the Ruger if you want to add aftermarket parts

I have owned the buckmark and ruger mk3, not the mkIV.

I shoot suppressed and liked the opening on both sides of the receiver with the browning. It helps keep the gun a lot cleaner. Compared to the ruger with an ejection port. The stock Browning trigger is better. The barrel can be swapped without a FFL since the frame is serialized instead of the barrel like the Ruger.

I decided run the Browning to see how much dirt and grime it would take to stop it. I was around 2000 suppressed and the trigger reset started sticking. Pretty good imo.

I was going to try a new ruger, but picked up something else when I got to the shop.

Looks like an excellent solution, but my Buckmark has the scallop topped slide with no rear serrations so it's a no-go.
It's actually easy enough to use if you sling-shot the action. I cross hand most pistol slides, and find myself trying to operate the Buckmark that way if I lose focus.

The Buckmark makes me feel like Han Solo with a blaster in my hand.
Pew pew pew...
