Calling it done.....
20 21 ish coats
Let dry for a couple days.
Then clean up the checkering for any tape residue with a toothbrush and mineral spirits
And a good rub down over all with a mineral spirit soaked paper bag for minuscule nibs and imperfections.
Then indoor outdoor drying/ hardening to VO2/truoil shrinkage and harden up more..
And a wool cloth rub down and assembly in 7 to 14 days.
Then let shotgun sit in a corner up right for a couple weeks or so and into a case.
Finish needs to harden up for 2 or 3 months total for full durabilty.
But the gun can be used during that entire time.
Just gotta be aware finish is still " soft".
Just a dove/ squirrel gun.
Not like its is gonna be abused anyways...
Indoor pic with glare
Outdoor pic with glare in the shade.
One of the things I like about Black walnut.
Always changes appearance,s in different light and angles.
Always something to see different in it.
