Never had to shoot a dog here harassing cattle, did put a couple 308 rounds over a neighbors young pup buddy team out barking at calves over the last two years, they finally wised up and leave them alone now, I will say I had a big gelding named Tiny that killed a dog and one coyote, he was a big fast mean sombitch that hated dogs or coyotes, simply run them down and stomp them to death, also have a donkey that runs dogs and coyotes out of the pasture, that little fu-ker aint scared of chit!

Stubby is a miniature Jack, quiet the attitude, he runs with his mouth wide open hee-hawing at the dogs and coyotes, his short legs wont give him the speed he needs, I hung the coyote Tiny killed on the Northwest fence, that damn donkey came by "everyday" and took a chit beside that dead coyote, he hates them too. grin

Why are you frequenting construction sites?

This is the Austin/San Antonio Corridor, construction sites are frequenting us, and their Mexicans shop at convenience stores for coffee and grease in the morning, and beer in brown paper sacks in the evening.

Actually I have heard that a lot of their Mexicans are actually Guatemalans.

That's interesting.

Are you able to tell a Guatemalan from a Mexican? Or do they look similar?
I can tell them apart for the most part by their facial features, Panamanians, Guatemalans, and Salvadorans tend to look more Indian, doesn't always hold true but just a guideline. I do have one Panamanian cousin my uncle adopted when he was stationed there after Vietnam, Roman is an Arkansas hillbilly now.

The big clues is their Spanish. I can tell fairly quickly if El Sal, Guat Cuban or Mexican when talk to them. Even different dialects in Mexico. EL Sals and Guats typically have more Indian features than Mexicans.

Is that how your family lost the dairy farm?

Do you still live in a flood plain?
Din't live in a flood plain then you ignorant son of a bitch. It had not flooded there in 100 years.

Thats called a 100 year flood plain.

They have 500 year flood plains too.
They called it a 500 year flood. Whole towns were wiped out here. Bridges washed out all over the place. Roads closed, whole houses floating down the river, overpass collapsed on the interstate, 18 wheelers went into the abyss and washed down stream. Never would have thought it would flood where I lived. Water was not visible from my back yard the night before. When I got up in the morning it was at my back steps. Two hours later when we left it was coming under the back door. We got 8" of rain overnight and the ground was already saturated from several straight days of rain before that. The next morning when we went back the water was over the road out front and about everything but the roof was under water.

We had a good flood a few years ago.

If you dont think you live in a flood plain...ask to see the map. You are probably in one.

Yep, the neighbors horses here will run my dogs out of the pasture and I'm sure they'd stomp them if they caught them. The dogs know it too and are afraid to go out there if the horses are anywhere in sight.

Not anymore for sure. After that experience I bought a place on top of a mountain. If it flooded here you better have an ark handy.

That’s quite an interesting looking dog.

Cool.

Which issue?
I honestly don't remember. I don't have the issue anymore. Lots of stuff got destroyed in the flood.

lmfao.....
Well it's not really funny. Guess you didn't hear about the massive flooding here in 2006 and that my home and most of my belongings were destroyed.

That sucks. I lost my home to Hurricane Katrina. And when I use the word "lost" I mean I went back and couldn't find the damn thing.
Yep, that would suck too.
Mine was moved off it's foundation, evertything inside floated around to different rooms, refrigerator on it's side in living room, dressers in living room, kitchen cupboards falling apart, mud covered everything. It was condemned as beyond reasonable repair so it might as well have been gone. Actually that would have been more convenient as I wouldn't have had to clean up the mess. Had no flood insurance as we were not in a flood zone so had to start over from nothing. Only had two more years of payments before it was mine so it was a bitch having to start over.

Damn brother, sorry for that. I had insurance. It was a PITA to get them to pay, but so many people lost everything and had no insurance. Even at that time I told everyone I felt like I got lucky having my house scattered all over 4 city blocks. No nasty clean-up, no wondering what to do.

Same/same with a buddy of mine out West, told me he turns his 4 big mules out in the mountains in late Spring to early Fall, I said damn, what about the grizzlies and mountain lions, he laughed, they wont fugg with those mules, I ask why, he said the bears and cats know if they get hurt messing with the mules they are dead, then ask do you have to go find them, no, he said, they know when to come home.

So guessing a big mule is a pretty damn tough customer too if he can hang with bears and cats in the mountains.

Not laughing about the flood, don't wish that on anyone, just if I had something I made featured in a fairly prominent magazine I think I'd remember the details.

Dont trust the bastards.

My friends did the same and found out they were in a 500 year flood plain.

To tell you the truth it was never that important to me. I lost a lot of family photo's and heirlooms that were much more valuable to me. Don't have hardly any pictures of my kids when they were little anymore.

Maybe if you'd contact SCI, and explain the circumstances, someone would go back and find the issue with your rifle in it.

Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.
