happy to report only three folks at the gym this morning

Wendler squats and bench 5/5/5+, pull-ups 3x10, dios 3x20

not so happy to report that a three month hiatus from weight training has sent me back probably 9 months or so

in the same boat. Strength sure goes away quickly when you age

yeah definitely sucks, but the good news is that w/ a diligence I should be able to get it back up there

3 miles on the trails with my wife and Tiny E; currently balsam root is dominating the landscape

Ski slope repeat hill climbs with Merlot...got in 3.1miles and 65 floors....

Last week hiking the sapphires after fishing rock creek. Lots of balsam root and lupine. Beautiful this year!!

6 mile run last night.

4 miles on the trails w/ Tiny Elvis this morning- nice day, mid 60's w/ some clouds and a breeze

6 miles earlier today- going to be in the 80's, was in the 50's when we went

hit the gym this AM

going nice & light to get back into the groove

4 miles and just happened to time the rain perfectly w/ my wife and Tiny E!

4 miles with a fifty pound pack, pace got slowed down from watching deer!

I did four miles up and down Emerald Mountain in Steamboat. Got slowed down on the way down when I rounded a corner and saw a little moose calf (this year's) standing about 40 yards ahead of me. Didn't see the cow right away, but knew she was close by and that was cause for a pucker factor of about 7.5. Made a little detour to give the calf some space, got around it, looked back up the trail and there was momma, watching me as I put some distance between us. That was the youngest calf I've ever seen, cute little bugger. But not a good situation to be that close.

22 miles on mountain bike... Stretching ( yoga) 30 min

8 miles on the Helena Ridge trail with Tiny E; great day- 50's with a little off/on light rain

Did 4 miles yesterday seen a half dozen deer.

I had a really [bleep] deal the other day while out for a walk in town. Got charged by a moose (cow) and managed to dodge her, and she went back in the woods. Kept walking down the road (opposite side of the road from where the moose had gone), and she came back out with a much more serious interest in stomping me. I did everything I could to evade, but I had no where to go and nothing to get between me and her. I ended up shooting her, while running, and from maybe 6 feet. That stopped her but didn't kill her. I got to where I was safe and called the cops. No idea what happened to her, or what the deal was. Never saw a calf, but can't think of another reason for that sort of behavior.
