You all oughta see the retirees filling up shopping carts with schitt loads of "miltary special" brand liquors at the class 6 at the end of the month.

Mostly bulbous nose red flushed face types in full blown alcohlic appearance mode. To lump em in a catch all sterotype.....

Stuff is like 12 to 15 bucks a plastic half gallon.

Literally a shopping cart full of booze.
Sometimes the bottom rack of the cart and cart botton itself palletized with beer and the half gallons like ducks in a row stacked on top.

Then the other catagory is old korean dependant spouse types filling up shopping carts to sell at their cheap dive bars some joes go to cause they cant swing american chicks.

Kinda sad actually...

This bottled in bond is a solid cheap bourbon. Wild turkey 101 on that list too.

Dad taught me at a very young age, drink the good stuff, you'll appreciate it the next morning. Even when I was 20 and everyone was drinking $1 well drinks, I'd order the good stuff.

Dad was right.

If you're drinking, and you're not drinking good bourbon, you're just not doing it right.

Has Jim ever explained the water quality of the highline water ? That is no doubt a factor when selecting what you drink.

Maybe Birdwatcher can ring in on this.

A while back someone here strongly touted how wonderful Evan Williams 100 proof bottled in bond was. It was supposed to be a real mostly unknown treasure of a great bourbon sold at a bargain price. I found a 1.75 litre of it at my favorite liquor store and thought I would give it a try. Not bad, but sure ain't worth buying again. I will eventually drink it all, but I'm in no hurry at all. Give me Buffalo Trace, Bulliet, Jim Beam, Weller, Basil Heyden, Old Forester, etc., etc., any day over that stuff.

I’ve been drinking it for decades, I’m only mildly more more retarded than if I drank the the expensive stuff.

The white label BIB is not bad.

On the budget bourbon lost, still below WT 101.
