A lot of defeatists on this board and thread. There are a lot of guys that did time in the Sandbox for their country. They don't like what's going on either. All it takes is the right person to stand up and say, "no more". There's a lot of people in the country that need to be shoved into Mexico with the illegals they love and not allowed back in, ever. They are not Americans, they're just f u c king commies.

The differences today are bigger than the similarities; in the '60 & into the '70's there was still a wide silent, majority & a good foundation & appreciation of the founding principles of the country.................that majority, if there even is one today, is razor thin & the minority much more organized, violent & aggressive across the country than ever before.
I can only hope for the best & prepare for the worst, but we've not not seen the worst yet, IMO.
Things may eventually get better, but we have not seen the pinnacle of the worst yet.

Howdy .
Not a defeatist here and the vast majority of people on this board aren't either . I'm speaking for the VAST MAJORITY of friends/acquaintances that I know and know for a fact that they won't ever chance losing any of their material belongings . Nor do they care if they leave their kids/grandkids behind facing war or communism . They'll pretend a lot of things but the real truth is they plan to live out their lives having a good time sitting by their pool - comfy chair - chips&dips as I often say . Over half the countries population are brainwashed mouth-breathers and a solid half of the so called right/conservatives are to . Someone recently said as much and I fully agree . The sooner we face the facts that this country is in big trouble the better . The time for standing around having a peaceful protest is over - shouting USA - USA isn't going to help our cause .

What we need as a country is for the PEOPLE to stand up and say enough is enough - we're not going to let a bunch of thieving rioters wreck/burn/steal anything .
Standing around like a bunch of do-nothings is the problem , if we had well regulated militia's like we're suppose to none of these things would happen because the punks would know better . Also the police/politicians et.al. need to know who they work for - this is a huge problem -- they are not our bosses and they should NEVER THINK they can tell us anything . Why do they abandon their police station paid for by the taxpayers - because they don't want to be beat to death and they're HUGELY OUTNUMBERED . Why are they outnumbered - because the people won't get off their lazy do-nothing asses and get involved - the same people who paid millions of dollars in taxes for those buildings .
If there's a potential riot the citizens should come out in big numbers and say protest all you want but nothing over and above loud talking . Let the protesters know that they better police their ranks - if one of them throws a brick through a window - they better be turning that person over to the police immediately .
Every big city has good people in it who are outnumbered - saying ah-piss-on Seattle/Minneapolis isn't the way should be - the point is that nobody has the right to destroy and steal what others have worked hard to build and own .
But no one I know would get involved - too busy with important things like - fun stuff this weekend . So i'll stick with my defeatist mentality and say the country is lost IMO .Over & out .

Old people have been talking the place is going to hell in a handbasket for years. My great Uncle Earnest kept predicting another Great Depression to anyone that would listen. He died many years before the Farm Crisis in the mid eighties.

65BR: Starting 17 (seventeen) years ago on this forum and for a few years before that on other forums I have been posting about my fears for this country and its march towards self destruction (caused internally by socialism, welfare state, anti-American politicians and anti-American values etc etc etc). My fears for the future of our country are stronger today than ever before. And that scares me. I recommend buying silver dimes in bulk, obtain a "country place" with its own water and a place to grow food and food animals - if you never have to rely on it and secrete yourself there then certainly (at this rate!) your children and/or grandchildren will need it to survive! And THAT is a sad commentary on the state of affairs in our country. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
VarmintGuy, you and I have been preaching , pretty much, the same sermon! We often get the “tin foil hat” digs, for what we see as the future of our nation! When the “ship hits the sand”, some of us will do OK......others not so much! Those that chose to ignore the warnings, will be held accountable for the dismal future they have given their families!
