Well I got the chopper ride as well on 04/03/11.....He is a lucky boy and I'm glad to hear is has no permanent damage...God bless and a speedy recovery for him !

Thank you all again for the support...
The COVID restrictions are extremely frustrating. He was life flighted to Casper with his mother and I drove down with my daughter. Upon arrival they would not allow me or my daughter into the hospital. They said I could go in if his mother came out but no more then one person in. My daughter could not go in at all because she is a minor. So I had to drive 2 hours back and drop her off with her grandparents then another 2 hours back to Casper. They pulled some strings and got me in finally but I did not get to see him before the surgery. Very frustrating and makes no sense to me. I feel they need to accommodate at least direct family in a situation like this.

Prayers from down here in NM! We’ve had some bad accidents down here to good young hands. I hate that it happens and I damn sure don’t have to say it but it goes with the life we live and love. Thank God it wasn’t worse. Life is delicate and precious and hopefully we will all remember that.

It was definitely a freak accident. Could have just as easily been me or anyone else. He did nothing wrong and neither did the horse. Just bad luck and bad timing. We are very fortunate it wasn’t worse and that the rest of the crew acted so quickly and got him help.

God bless doctors and surgeons. Many of them perform miracles. And people say this country sucks. 90% of the world couldn’t do that surgery.
