I was once a valet manager at a ritzy Long Island country club, so I've driven them all. Maseratis, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, etc..

I don't recall the model or year, but a high school buddy's Dad restored older sports cars and had a 60's or 70's vintage Ferrari I got to drive briefly. Looking at Ferrari models from those years, it had to be either a 330GTS or 365 GTS.

Our family car for a while was a 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L California Special with the 6spd manual. It was actually roomy enough for the kids and would pull down 26mpg on the highway. The 420hp was fun when you wanted it to be. Still miss that car.

I can think of two.....first was my '69 Triumph TR-6 with O/D... Canary yellow, tan interior and convertible.. I still miss that car.. Number two was a '69 XKE Jaguar 4.2L convertible.. That car could take corners at speeds that scared the hell outta any passenger I had along.. There's a road around here with three 90 degree 30mph suggested speed limits.. I could be AT the corner at 90 mph, touch the brakes, downshift to 3rd and not even drift.. It was awesome..

Y'all have had some really nice cars, very impressive. I've only owned 2 cars since I started driving in 75. One was a VW bug with Goodyear terra grip tires and the other a Plymouth tank with a 440 that I bought to put the engine in my power wagon.

That is a very cool collection, but the reason I quoted this with pics is the Cobra in that line up is an almost exact duplicate of the one I built. Same color, dual chrome roll bars, my stripes are silver instead of white, but more alike than not.... I'd love to have that 67 Corvette also, but the things I would do to it would drive purists bonkers.... I loved the look of the early first and second generation Corvettes, but they handled like absolute crap... Vettes didn't start handling well until the late C6 models and they finally got them kind of competitive on the road in the C7's... the C8's are in a whole different league....

If I drove it, I'm not sure. I painted a 29 Model Ford Caberlia. Long story, I rode in the mother-in-law seat in our homecoming parade.

2020 Mustang GT Manual tranny, a rocket ship and I was able to stretch it out on a lonely country road. It was a rental and I drove it hard but not abusive. I drive a 5.0 F150 for reference so most sporty cars feel fast. On a side note, I was in Ireland in March and had a rental, most are manual as was mine. To compound problems, you sit on the right and shift with your left hand as well as drive on the left. Was not much of a problem but they have lots of traffic circles and I was sure I was going to crash entering each one. You really have to program yourself against your natural instincts.

Nash-Healy coupe. I believe it was a 1953, supposedly only 162 built that year.

Second was probably a Mustang SVO. And there was also an SS427, I believe it was a 1969.

But really I preferred my '68 GTO to all of them.

This story in Hemmings about a 2000 mile road trip in an old Trans Am seems to be appropriate...

This was the most sporty/badass thing I've ever driven or been in for that matter. Just last week.

In '73 my 84 yr old grandma allowed me daily use of her 1955 Ford galaxy 500 with only 30k miles on the odometer and original white wall tires.......

Was able lo turn it back over to her unscathed months later.

Also had access to my sister's '70 Pontiac gto for a weekend.......

That thing had a very quick tempered passing gear......gas needle would literally move as we drove.

Paul, I used to think that way until I drove the 2019 M5. I couldn't shift fast enough to keep up with that motor.

A brand new Cobra Mustang just received back from Carroll Shelby’s place with all the mods and 740 hp.

Awesome Pony.
