On my old Matehws Q2, I have silencers on the string about 6" from each axle. But still have a "twang" going on at the shot. Pluck the string and it's quiet. Pluck the cable and get a bit of a "twang".
Ever put a silencer on the cable, also?

I don't have any string silencers on my current compound but have used them on both the string and cables on other bows in the past.

Check string and cable stretch. Brand new. But the "twang" is fairly minor/low volume. Just trying to see what I can do to get it to whisper quite.

New cables/string.........is it set correctly? Should be a cam line/ sight hole and specs on what the bow should measure when correct.

Heavier arrows will help quiet a set-up down.
