In general, I don't like hearing high pitched female voices. For choral music, I HATE hearing women's voices. It's almost painful. I greatly prefer men's choirs.
If the lady is a really exceptional singer, though, I can fall in love.
As long as they don't wail or warble like so many no talent famous "singers " do these days, I have no preference.
The Star Spangled Banner is my benchmark for a singer. If they can make it through that correctly and not string out "free" into " free-eee-yee-yee-eee" and "brave " into " bur- ay- ee- vuh" and such well we'll probably get along ok
Stringing out single syllables into multiples shows a lack of genuine talent
The desert is a true treasure for him who seeks refuge from men and the evil of men. In it is contentment In it is death and all you seek (Quoted from "The Bleeding of the Stone" Ibrahim Al-Koni)
She looks al of 14. Not sure I want to get within 500' of her. Might get taken the wrong way.
I'm kinda liking the lead singer of The Regrettes lately myself.

Way back I saw Kate Bush on the Kenny Everett Video Show. Weird voice, but odd n cute..........yeah, crush.
I like Liv Kristine (Theatre of Tragedy)on some stuff, and Christina Scabia (Lacuna Coil) Amy Lee can sing better though. Like Chibi from The Birthday Massacre, but live vids have her sounding pretty bad (dunno if studio work enhanced a lot or not).
Male singers, I like lower end..............fave was Peter Steele. Am listening to Michelle Darkness (Michael Huber) at the moment. Not as good but all we have these days.
Liked Paul DiAnno with Maiden, Bruce is different and possibly an acquired taste.
