I used to have to wear a mask when ever we were sawing yellow pine (ponderosa or bull pine). Now, in Covid times, I wore one to get my eyes checked but had to take it off because it caused the instruments to fog. We had wear masks in Calgary, when we went to a tractor dealership. Once inside nobody seemed to care so we took them off.
Every one knows, or should, that masks won't protect you from any virus but may reduce the virus you may spread if you are infected. If you are not infected (and the vast majority are not), you can wear a mask, if it makes you feel better, but you are accomplishing nothing.
Probably the dumbest thing I see is when a group of people, all of whom KNOW they and their friends are virus free. gather together, all wearing masks. GD

I knew I had it for about a week now. while some symptoms went away and got better(my taste and smell coming back) my cough has got worse.

Have the quacks prescribed any dope? Or just OTC stuff?

Nothing. My vitals are fine and lungs sounded good. So Keep an eye on it type of thing.

You wear a mask out of "respect"?!
You don't see the stupidity in that statement?!
Guess the Biden/Harris ticket just got another emotional vote....

My wife runs a C-store, has been forced to wear one by her boss for months.
She really doesn't care if healthy customers do or don't.

But, if you can't see the respect of pulling one on to checkout, just because
that poor Bastard on the other side has had to wear one (to, maybe, protect you)
for hours...

But, I don't always.

I haven’t worn a mask not once.

I had the vid 3 weeks ago.

It sucked just like being sick sucks.

Still not scared.

72 yo Mom had it and said same thing but she wears a mask everywhere.

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

I have to wear one to get into the medical clinic for my lab work every six weeks. I don't wear one at other places at present.

Went in for my bi-annual mole exam at my dermatologist last week, wore a mask the entire time except when she looked around and in my mouth. Well worth it.

Every store here requires a mask. You simply cannot operate without one in my AO. They WILL call the po-po on you.

If you're growing your own vegetables, raising your own chickens and beef in your back yard, and milking your own cows, then you're good.

But, that isn't the norm in south FL.

Stopped in at Walmart for a few things this afternoon, it was a zoo and packed with only one entrance open, not a single maskless person in the store.

I gave up and bought some neck gaiters like pro fishermen wear to keep sun off. I can use my camo one during warmer weather this deer season as a face mask. Some places around here ask you to wear one coming in, but after you get inside nobody cares. The Health Dept. has been on them, so I play the stupid game.

Have to at work by corporate mandate I wear it walking in. Get to office and it’s off. If I go out on the production floor I wear it. Plant manager has given some eye rolls if he pops his head in. But he won’t make a big deal of it.

The big town to west has a mandate. I haven’t spent but bare minimum money there since it went in effect.

Town to north (they share a city limit) has no mandate. I spend my money there, or go to a town East of me (I’m 5 or 6 miles out of town, in either direction) with no mandate.

Walmart has mandate, have bought two clearance 700s, otherwise most shopping is at a local chain with no mandate.

Lowe’s has a mandate, but for the most part it’s being ignored in the town with no mandate.

Had to go to eye doctor in mask mandated town. He comes in. Shuts door. Takes off his mask “this is a mask free zone if you’re good with that”. I tell him my politics. He opens up. Says he told the chamber if commerce and the mayor what he thought of their damn mandate.

I wear one in stores that are asking people to. We have a term limited R governor and he mandated masks. I think they are silly and doing more harm than good. Most people touch their face constantly while wearing them elevating their chance of catching something. I wear one because I don't want to offend people that are worried and think it helps. I just want to conduct my business without any grief.
I do have to wear one at the airport to go to work and while flying in the helicopter. This is silly too because they test us for it before we can enter the airport. If we are positive we can't enter. So we are a bunch of people that don't have it wearing masks so we don't give it to each other. Hopefully this foolishness will end when the election is over.

My favorite beer store requests that customers wear a mask.

So I keep a paper mask in my pocket for just such events.

No mask for me. Not once. I have never worn a mask in public, and nothing about the fake "covid-19" narrative would cause me to want to wear one now. I try to deal in facts, not in ridiculous narratives. I suggest that others do the same. If you don't watch the endless parade of horseshit from the media, it is far easier not to get sucked into these narratives.
