She's home!! Dang I forgot how pretty the wood is. The trigger is much improved, even better than with the Grainger spring.

Anybody wanna buy a bag of springs? I have a whole stash of one lone spring.....destined to migrate to the bottom of the spare parts drawer.

The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me.

Just got an E Mail from Henry yesterday ( sep. 11 ). It's due to come home this coming Wed. the 16th. .Not bad turnaround time. It got sent out 9 / 2, Henry received it 9 / 4 and it's due back here 9/16. I have no complaints about that. Looking forward to that trigger job and I hear the hammer will pull back easier, too. If it gets here on schedule it will be exactly 2 weeks since I sent it out.

Got it back today, (9-15), one day early. Nice turnaround; gave it to UPS 9/2 and it got here 9/15. Well packed, no visible damage, much easier to cock that hammer. Trigger isn't as light as I thought it might be but it's an improvement for sure. Before the recall it was 5 lbs., 14 oz. on my Lyman digital gauge. Now it's 4 lbs. 5 oz.. I wouldn't call it sweet but at least it's better and the cocking effort is much improved. Can't wait to get to the range. I was never happy with the accuracy of that thing and I wonder if this will help.
