For those of you that have Gerber or thinking about Gerber keep in mind that they are supporters of anti hunting group Oregon Wild. Oregon Wild, Big Liberal Organization.

We all got issued gerbers for OIF 1. Pretty handy tool to unfugg wpns with. Attach it to your molle vest. Always handy when everyone has one. Had ta take a pic. This one has "cred". Lol!!! My unit bought everyone SOG Powerlocks before OIF III. Mine went back to Iraq in 08 and Afg in 11. Still have it, even though I lost at least one knife on every deployment.

My Leatherman PST II that has been with me for a lot of years, ran away.
What is the latest and greatest in multi-tools? I carry the Surge... much bigger, but once you switch you will never look back Hell of a useful tool... REAL Bosch hacksaw and bone blades. The size took about one day to fall in love with. I beg to differ. I have lost more leathermans than I can remember. I've tried several different models, but I always come back to the Wave. Just bought another one last week, can't believe the damn things are a hundred bucks now. I had a Surge, and didn't like it. too big in the pocket. Pocket? Put that sumbitch on your belt!

I would consider paying a little extra for a chip or tracking device on a Leatherman.

I do, but often switching pants and whatnot I just put it in my pocket. I also keep a handkerchief in my left ass pocket. Been handy lately when I forget a mask and have to use my snot rag.

What happened to braindead? He would always have multitools for sale at good prices.

Check out the leatherman rebar also....
Cheaper but smaller. I carry one almost every day at work.
Has the replaceable cutters like the wave+.

PST devotee here.
They have em for like $90 like new on eBay.
A good excuse to visit pawn shops and gun shows.
I’ve lost maybe five or six over the years. Ain’t lost any since I started keeping it on the bicycle in the tool kit, I guess I’m more likely to remember to put it back.
Keep a bigger Leatherman in compartment between the seats of my car, gotta move it to my truck now. Have a third in my flinter shooting box, with all the other assorted BP accessories. Seems I lose em much less if I treat em as a tool rather than a personal accessory.

I carry a cross draw knife and Leatherman on my belt at all times. I've never lost one yet but gave one to the TSA in N.O. sure makes a person feel stupid.

Still have my 20+ year old original and couple newer spares. Don't know how I got through life before Leatherman. Me too. The joints on mine are getting pretty loose and the sheath recently wore through so it's not on my belt anymore. Been looking for a replacement sheath but apparently the original type are not available. Jerry
