Seems like a typical season here in north Idaho. Eastern Washington is burning as is part of the panhandle here. Clear skis though this year from the cabin.

Multiple fires in areas effecting family. Been many years since big fires on the west Slope of the Cascades, like Mt Hood south to Santiam Pass. If the East Wnd continues, chit'll burn.

I've heard spotted owl makes a tasty fondue.

I have thought for years that if I was a terrorist wanting to do a lot of damage, all I would have to do it run around in late summer or early fall setting fires up in the timber.

Controlled burns are your friend but too late to consider.
