For me, I would choose an Accuracy International Rifle with a custom barrel in some type of 6mm. 6GT, 6BR, 6mm creedmore....etc.. A quality bipod, I use atlas, but I still love the Harris and a weibad mini fortune cookie for my rear bag. Just hit up Red beard Gunworks they will hook you up with the set up that will get the job done.

whitebread Campfire Regular W Joined: Mar 2014 Posts: 563 Raleigh, NC	At 500 with a 6mm 105 Berger going 3100 fps, wind isn't going to be too much of an issue. You can be off on your wind estimate my 3mph and still hit it. I'd use my AI in 6x47 Lapua, which is my PRS gun.

I have done this with both 308's and 6.5's; built on Model 70 Winchester and Remington 40X actions. I have seen a bunch of guys do the same and better. I have also put nine under a moa then parked one eight inches out when I missed a wind shift. GD
