I watched an interview with Davey Johnson long time MlB seconded baseman, and manager.
Davey said he wanted to be a big league ball player, but wanted an education.
He thought he was getting a four year scholarship at Texas A&M. When the coach gave him the contract to sign it was for one year. Davey said, I thought it was a four year scholarship?
