So, those who came in to the ER as a result of a car wreck, subsequently tested positive for COVID, then died, and the cause of death was listed as COVID, would not have come to the hospital if not for COVID? How about the people who come to the doctor's office for a problem, not knowing they have COVID. They are tested and test positive for COVID so a new case is reported. They leave, come back 3 days later for a new issue and are again tested for COVID even though they are asymptomatic they again test positive, and, the doctors office reports a new case of COVID. So, the same person, tests positive for COVID in a span of three days and accounts for two new cases of COVID. Face it, the medical community has grossly over reported the cases of COVID and the deaths that result from only COVID.

COVID, from the start, has been weaponized in yet another stupid attempt by the radical left to overthrow the 2016 Presidential Election.

We should have followed Taiwans example on how to fight the COVID-19. First they did very aggressive contact tracing.

If you tested positive you were quarantined for 14 days. But they also gave you a phone that showed the government

your location. If you were where you were not supposed to be or failed to answer the phone they came and arrested you.

Everyone was required to wear a mask outdoors. No businesses were closed and no schools were closed.

Taiwan has a population of 23 million. They had less than 10 deaths. Bottom line Masks and contact tracing are the key,

Trump was briefed on Jan 23 and 28 about the looming crisis. And was told it was a deadly serious matter!!
He closed down air travel on Jan 31 to China and Europe.

Then he told a writer, on Feb 7 on phone, while being recorded, that he knew this was a deadly, airborne disease, which was believed to be at least 5 times more deadly then the most strenuous flu the US experiences each year.

Trump has said publicly several times that the flu kills 25-65.000 Americans each year.
So, he privately believed it could kill 75 - 325.000 Americans.. and most likely much much more in early January!!!

He downplayed it for nearly 6 weeks to the public, calling it a hoax on numerous occasions in fully packed rallies, a Democrat plot, that people should just look at it as a common flu, dont take any serious precautions etc etc etc...


It wasn't until March 16, he called for tougher measures.. which led to the entire US economy grinding to a halt as a result!
And tens and tens of thousands of Americans dead as a result.
And still ALOT his supporters dont even belive its a serious virus.. they are still calling it a hoax. Even on this forum!

Had he just kept to his guns that this is an serious matter and ALL Americans should take some precautions, in February when he told the writer, there wouldn't be Trump supporters still calling this a hoax and claiming only 9000 have died from it.


Other Asian countries that went straight to tough measures only resulted in minuscule deaths compared to US numbers.
And they never shut down their economy...

Trump didn't downplay the COVID-19 pandemic to avoid panic. If you believe that BS you must have an IQ of around 10. He obviously did it to try and protect the economy which after all is way more important than peoples lives, right? I will concede defeat IF you can tell us what your plan (or the Dem plan) was to STOP the transmission of the virus starting February 1.

Not slow the spread, not flatten the curve, but STOP the spread. Just like New Zealand did.

Any thing other than STOP the spread is irrelevant. Slowing the spread takes what is normally an 18 month event and makes it 36-48 month event in the absence of an effective vaccine that you can get to the public en masse.

Tell me how you could have STOPPED the spread cold and saved everybody. If your answer makes medical and scientific sense, I will not only concede your point but grateful to learn something new.

Anything short of that, you are playing Monday Morning Quarterback. Flattening the curve is just spreading out the same number of cases over a longer time period. The virus is out there. It is looking for YOU! Tell me how you absolutely stop it.

It can not be stopped, right now. There is no easy answer. Best we can do right now is follow Dr. Fauci advice.

Wear a mask, stay 6 feet away from people. Get tested if you feel sick. Contact Tracing is very important. Taiwan

and Germany were able to cut there deaths with it. Good masks do work, get a KN95 mask.
