Maybe I'll just stack up some pallets and boards instead.

grin Yeah, I passed on the good ladder because I didn't feel like hauling it out either. The POS aluminum was close at hand. Bad choice. Won't be a choice anymore because it's bent like a taco. If you want my professional opinion, pallets stacked with an upside down 5 gal bucket for that extra reach is your best bet to win the award. laugh

Mmmn? I wonder how much I can get at the scrap yard for that cheap Al ladder the previous owners left here. I just leave it leaning up against the well house for if I need a ladder quick out back. Might be worth it to avoid an accident.

The Werner weighs 40 or so pounds, is unwieldy, and is usually 100' from where I need it of course.

Don't try to overdo it. It Will feel like you did 10000 situps and then got gut punched.

It took me a few days to return to work. And that was a desk job

Thanks. I was 73 years old, at the time.

A very old friend and I had driven up to Mammoth Lakes area to go canoeing and fishing. We were camping in a tent. After 3 days of not being able to crap or sleep, I finally drove myself to the local hospital. I presented my VA Medical card and, when they discovered my appendix had been ruptured, they told me that they'd called the VA and were told the VA would not cover the operation. I insisted that they call the VA back and speak to someone else, and that, if they couldn't get approval, they should just let me die right there, rather than ruin my life with hospital bills (I was very serious). While the administrator went to call back the VA, the surgeon assured me they would not let me die. The administrator came back with the approval and they rushed me right into surgery. I was quite literally full of [bleep].

Yeah, but you got nice fingernails.

Prolly tough to get the boogers out, though.
