Been in the mountains with some good buddies. Tougher due to predator issues but we managed some bucks. Big country bucks. E with a big bodied Sitka.

Pretty typical of a fat covered mature alpine buck. Once they get off the top they are lean by the end of the rut. Pretty good eats for the critters up on the peaks tho.
The AZ guys I was with sure could glass with their 12x50 swaro el binos. Some impressive glass.

Thanks guys. No not photoshopped, might be seeming off because the bull is pretty stiff after finding him the next day. I got more pics but he looked biggest in that first one and the shadows weren’t on my face

The AZ guys I was with sure could glass with their 12x50 swaro el binos. Some impressive glass. Man lucky! I don’t have any friends to go hunting with... it’s been oh 15yrs since I harvested anything.. I’m thankful for the campfire..
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Calvin; Top of the morning to you sir, I hope the weekend was a good one and this finds you and yours well. While I'm always reluctant to single out anyone on a thread such as this - and may I interject congratulations to all successful hunters! - I'm somewhat gob smacked at the size of that Sitka! The one I killed on Haida Gwai was maybe - maybe - a third of that one. Actually the Columbia Blacktail I got on the Gulf Islands was nowhere near that for size either. That thing is in the class of the bigger Blacktails from up in Pemberton country. Anyways thanks for sharing the photo of the hunt as I've learned something now sir as I didn't know they could get that size. Thanks again and again hearty congratulations to all the successful hunters this fall. Good luck to you all on your remaining hunts. Dwayne

Utah pronghorn. Was fun hunting country I knew from working there 10yrs ago. Not very big, but the population is a pittance compared to what I remember... DSCN2868 by .com/photos/150924633N06/]Tyler Staggs, on [bleep]
