Not as nifty as that Husky box, screwed some scrap boards together, cut a hole in end for bar and put a piece of plastic in bottom. Fancy!

Stihls need a box to hold all the parts together when they rattle apart from driving down a gravel road!

I really like that one, the layout and the written reminders about plug type/gap/oil mix etc. I went from 15 saws to 5 this year, but still have other 2 cycle equipment, so something like this helps keep things all organized and right in front of you. Visual management. Might have to borrow some of your ideas, Thanks for sharing!

Death, taxes, and chainsaws leak oil. Buy, adapt, or build a case that will contain the oil and hold the saw.

I assumed anybody gay enough to buy a husky would drive a Ford. Between the 2 of them one ought to run once in a while I suppose.

My bad I assumed Stihls were like husqvarna and it was probably just a tank pressure issue.
But the video shows probably a silly design item and a missing part. What else is new, its a Stihl. (Just trying to make this a proper chain saw thread, thanks for reading.)
Don't sweat it fella, you taught me something I didn't know about husqvarna. And it is useful.

Although 2 of my saws came with molded plastic cases, whenever I get through with one I pour the unused gas and bar oil back into their respective containers. I didn't think I was the only one that did that, but I guess I am I haven't owned a chainsaw for over 30 years. Now I live in a hilly mountain property with dense forest, and a log cabin with 4-foot+ old stone fireplace and several other wood stoves to boot, so I'm about to get one. We had to widen the 300 foot+ driveway to satisfy fire regs, so the worker had to cur a few trees down and left all the wood in four foot lengths alongside the gravel drive. I do have a truck, wheelbarrow and light four wheel cart to move it around. Stihl products are all now made in the USA, which is appealing to me, and the very close local hardware store is a Stihl dealer–and stock parts. I'm thinking that that's the way to go, right? Tractor Supply, ten miles away, has Husqvarna products. Walmart near it, has some cheaper brand likely made in China. Not being as active as I used to be, to put to mildly, I figure maybe a 170 or so would work (?) Most of the loose wood is 4-6 inches diameter or less but up the hill by the spring and rock pond are stacked logs up tp 20 inches dia. that I'd likely hire sometime with a gas engine splitter to handle. The small stuff is ponderosa, juniper and piñon. The big cut logs in the woodpile up the hill are cottonwood. Norm

Stihl MS261.
260 and 026 would also be a good choice if you want to find a cheaper, used unit.
Where ya' been, Norm?
