I paid $285 for a NIB Colt govt Series 70...................in 1981.

That's about when I bought my Series 70. I don't remember what I paid. I know it was one of the last years they made them.

Well, no, not really.................just makes them all the same, as in consistent, but not necessarily better in all cases.

I still have all of the original parts, even the magazine is serial-ed to the pistol. Now has a Kart barrel/bushing and a trip via Ed Brown for the rest. My most accurate 45. Seeing these stock going north of $750 now. Mine is not a Colt version. You lucked out on that one. Yes exact 1911A1 specs.
