I read somewhere that most of the interviews Earp gave to Lake we’re tall tails told by Earp to build his reputation.
This doesn’t sound that way to me. Wyatt talks about what he’s seen and heard from others, but says nothing of himself or his own experience. And it agrees with what other more experienced folks have said, which tells one that it’s good advice.

Wyatt, like others that had been there and done it, usually didn’t feel the need to brag about the things they’d done. I’m guessing he was telling the truth. Not tall tails.

I have seen this article by Wyatt Earp before and he apparently wrote it for publication in a magazine that was either the Saturday Evening Post or Collier's in the 1920s or 30s. Does anyone recall?
