The 10/22 isn't bad. to be honest I rarely shoot anything but cheap bulk ammo. I'm going to need to revise that a bit to give the rifle a fair shake at showing what it can do. I have a small amount of Federal Target on hand, the 1080 fps stuff, and it shoots well in the 10/22, so I'll use it to get a baseline. This target is the 16" GM barreled 10/22. 10 shot groups at 50 yards with nasty ol' Federal Bulk. Top group was clean barrel. Bottom group was fouled barrel.

I rather like the MacaMillion Annie SillyWet handle, whether in an Automatic or Manual transmission. Hint. The T-Hole version,is even more goodness and sadly discontinued. Hint. As is their full Race SillyWet,which is also a shame. Hint. I prolly should pester Bob,to build a run of 80MOA(barrel droop) 1913 extended 10/22 rails,if only to make things easier. Hint. Did I mention TALLLLLL Paper yet?!? Hint.........................(grin)

The first hasty 5rds at 50yds,despite no parallax adjustment and a retcle that's shy of the MQ for such thangs. 26 Mil's remaining on the erector, from a 50yd zero, which should get BabyMan rolling just fine. Hint. Should simmer down,as the bore seasons. Zero'd turrets, installed caps and beat up 200yd steel. Must be rough?!?.....................(grin)

Nice pics! Baby man will be working on them for real soon. Seems I blink and the young ones are grown. Blink twice and they are showing me how to do things.

I had one for a awhile and sold it, accuracy wasn't anything to write home about, it was picky about mags, and cheek piece was either tight or loose, no inbetween when trying to fine adjust.

Got a few rounds downrange this afternoon. Surprisingly, Rem Golden Bullet shot better than the Federal Target. 51 yards, bipod/rear bag. Rem Golden Bullet - 1.25" clean bore Rem Golden Bullet - .5" fouled bore, plus one flier. Federal Target - 2.5" The barrel needs more rounds I'm sure before it will really settle down. Weather switched and I called it a session. I'll be adding results as I go along.

I had one for about four months during our local long range .22 matches. My Ruger "Precision" rifle was a dog. It would routinely group in the 8" to 10" range at 200-yards. We have an 8"x8" square gong at 300-yards... My Ruger was anything but a precision .22 rifle!
I tried RWS-R50, CCI SV, Eley Club, Lapua Center-X, and SK long range match ammo and nothing really shined. The 8" to 10" groups persisted. I shot some pretty dismal scores with that rifle.
After four months of shooting this Ruger three to four times a week out to 350-yards i traded it for a Tikka T1x and never looked back!
Bottom line, those that have a Precision Ruger that actually lives up to its name, I am happy for you. My Ruger only caused grief.

Nice looking rifle h22.
Too soon to tell on mine. I need to set down at the shooting table (I may have been clipping some grass today) and run at least 100 rounds through it, and see where it's at.

Finn said to jump in that new Ford and take a roadtrip back up here. We wants to properly break it in before it loses that 'new truck smell'. He just came in from rolling in rotten antelope guts.....
