Knowing the fire has some of the smartest mudda fuggers on the planet posting on this forum, I need a bail out. Had duct taped visquine around backseat area of truck to keep dog from slobbering on mommas seats and side window. Left the chit on to long before I removed it and now the adhesive residue is like concrete. I've tried over the counter goo go crap with Little to no effect. Any good hacks or products known among the masses? Appreciate any help!

Try Vaseline. Apply let sit, wipe or gently scape with old credit or dull plastic scraper. Ive gotten paint, marker and crayon off my leather seats from the kids like that.

I've got an old car that still has stains from a drooly dog..............every time I see it I'm reminded fondly of Val, the dog I take my screen name her from.
The vaseline thing might work. I've heard of vegetable oil working on gum/adhesive. Just test it on a place you can't see, make sure it won't ruin your seats further.

When removing basic adhesive stuff like decals, WD-40 has worked great for me. For stupidity with super glue, I have needed nail polish remover. Whatever you use, do a little, clean it up, and repeat until done. Don't leave any solvent on the surface for more than a few minutes if that. Don't just assume you won't ruine the surface. Find a hidden spot and experiment.

Mineral spirits and a rag. Leaves a nice scent for awhile that will keep libs from bumming a ride. Win-Win

Damn! That seems to be my answer for everything. Technically alcohol is a solution. If it’s gorilla tape good luck. I’ve tried everything for baked on gorilla tape residue. 3M makes an adhesive remover. That may work, but it may harm plastic.

Appreciate the ideas, forgot about WD40,cleaned road stripe paint off with it before, that might be the silver bullet? Tried the Goo Gone with Little results but maybe I didn't let it sit long enough to do it's magic?

We use Vis-Clean on the job. When it ages it takes a pretty serious set. Of course, you be done figured that out. Be interesting to see what the remedy turns out to be.

For future reference, you might want to take a look at this. We bought one and used it on a trip recently. Rocky was happily contained for over 3000 miles of traveling, and the thing is well made and works like a charm. doggie container
