Tonight for the first time. Jotul Oslo 500. I have lots of wood. Won't run out next month. Won't run out next year. Love the big Norwegian stove. My girlfriend calls it her "new religion."

Got a new Englander with an electric blower at the cabin. Heats the place up fast. Timberline in the shop. Heard good things about the jotul.

Replaced an aging Jotul this Spring with a new Jotul F100 Nordic. We're having a rather cool Fall, been using it pretty much all month. Great stove.

Stoked my stove about two weeks ago during a cold snap. Earliest I have had to fire it up on a consistent basis. It won't go out now till April, unless we get a warm stretch in March! I do all my cooking and baking on the woodstove in winter. My Friday night batch of popcorn popped in bacon grease and peanut oil is my religion!

Been running mine for a couple of weeks too. Last night was the first night without it.

You don't have to tell anyone you lit a woodstove, they knew it long before you said anything.

We swapped out our old classic Fisher for a Jotul a handful of years ago. Night and day...

I haven't had a wood stove since '91. I miss it.

Still using an Edan Pure and the electric fireplace. We get all day sun. If daytime temps are above 50 and not too cloudy, We can pretty well keep it warm by using the curtains to let in and then hold heat.
Burning wood under these conditions creosotes the chimney. It just smolders. Small house, tight, insulated, don't take much heat.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

Tight, well insulated, lots of thermal mass. Would get up in the morning and build a little fire and let it go out. Warm for the family when they got up, still decent when home from work. I miss wood heat.
