I like those A Frame bullets. They may be a little too tough for my needs. I use them in my 44 magnum anyway.

I like them also! My Featherweight .270 Win shoots them very well,just need an elk tag now.

You put a good head shot on that Elk!!! Was he Bugling with his head upright? Looks kinda like you put the shot thru the wide part of the V in his jawline and out thru the top of the noggin. Pretty cool you posted up your Elk kill "pics or it never happened" event. π

You put a good head shot on that Elk!!! Was he Bugling with his head upright? Looks kinda like you put the shot thru the wide part of the V in his jawline and out thru the top of the noggin. Pretty cool you posted up your Elk kill "pics or it never happened" event. π I had pictures of it on my trail cam back in the middle of the summer. I had been seeing it occasionally in my preseason scouting. It was pretty wary. Often it would run along the ground, zig zagging back and forth. I could tell it was a seasoned veteran. It knew all of the escape tactics. On opening day I had a trick up my sleeve though. I brought Shadow. It tried its usual trick, but I turned Shadow loose on it. It ran as high up a tree as it could and tried that tactic where it keeps the tree between it and its adversary. It just thought Shadow was its problem, right up until 40 grains of hot lead went zipping through its brain. There's a little bit of brain matter mixed in with the blood in the pic.
