I vaguely remember watching some old Japanese movie that I thought probably had a fairly realistic swordfight, where two Samurai were squaring off against one another. No clinging and clanging swords (the Samurai sword apparently is not a battlefield chopper. It's more of a large knife. A razor to slice your opponent wide open). Most of the fight they were maneuvering around one another, looking for the opportunity to make their run and slash their opponent. After several failed runs, finally the good guy gets a good slash in, and the bad guy goes down.
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”
Pretty cool. With that mud I wonder how many times they slid onto their asses while filming it.
Makes me wonder what a real sword fight looks like.
A "real" swordfight looks like two men trying to kill each other. In comparison, the scene here looks like some foreplay in a gay porno.
