Have you tried this?
What and how did you use the flavoring?
Which of the maple flavorings are the best?

I'd advise against it.

I used PS seasoning #120 Maple seasoning on some ground mountain goat. It was good, I'd use it again.

Because they are brave enough to admit that they don't like the taste of game?

Well Mike, tell me you don't use basic seasoning on any of your table fare, and I might give your comment some credibility. However, you will get no argument from me, one way or the other.

Its not that hard of a concept.

They paid for it oneway or another and can do whatever they want with it.

In my opinion it has to be real maple syrup. Fake stuff will loose flavor quickly.
Salt also subtracts the sweetness, so cut back on the salt a bit.
You can carry the sweetness with a bit of caraway or fennel seed. They compliment well.

I have never had sausage made from plain ground game meat. Isn't that burger...

Those things are disgusting. Doesn't really taste like real maple syrup. I'm not that big of a fan of sweet on meat except for bbq though.

It isn't sausage til the seasoning and pork goes in.
Thanks for all the tips, guys.
Goes to show there are many different tastes, out there.
