21oz NY strip, black and blue.

And they have the gear to do it right, like here at home.

I've been to a handful of retirement dinners there and always opted for the Colorado ribeye. Their seafood tower app is also amazing. Haven't been back since my retirement.

The Old Homestead was a great steak experience as well. And, heresy I know, but I think Lugers is overrated.

Same, the predominant flavor the 2x I've tried there is "Burned Butter".

Small East Texas town Avinger. 5D Steakhouse. Owner is a cattle rancher and QC is from pasture to plate. Outstanding in every aspect. Highly recommend.

No kidding.

Pay all that money for something of lower quality than you get at home?

Just so you didn't have to cook it?

Not for this guy.

***Edit***

Phucgk that! I just checked out their menu. I'm not paying $80 + for a steak when I have the best natural fed beef in my freezer! lol

Fogo de Chao over Manny's all the time, every time.

My cousin told me about that place. He loved it. There are two in Dallas, I need to go there some time.

Since the OP asked for regional, Longhorns is my choice. Texas Roadhouse is ok, just not great. Logan's, nah, I'll just go to McDonalds. Was at a company dinner one night there, HR guy orders a rack of ribs. They were cold. He tells the waitress. Her response, I kid you not "Well I don't know why, I just pulled them out of the microwave".

Ruth's Chris is good, was at one 3 weekends ago with wife. The quality of the food is not equal to the bill though.

Hard to beat buying prime steaks from my buddy's butcher shop and cooking over chunk charcoal.

Since we turned this international-the best steakhouse (and it is a chain, in Mexico) https://www.laestanciaargentina.com/ in Leon, Mexico. I worked there for a year, and we would eat there at least twice a week. It was a half mile walk back to the hotel, and that was always a walk in misery from eating too much. Rib-eye cap is the best cut of meat to get.

This.

I never had a bad meal or experience at Outback in various locations until we moved here. It was so bad that I took it up the ladder and got an apology and $60 worth of freebies, but I never bothered to use them. Gave them away.

I ate at Ruth Chris once on a business trip to DC. No soap in the men's room and staff didn't seem to care. Killed my appetite wondering if and how the staff washed their hands.

Locally, Texas Roadhouse is pretty good. You get good value and the managers and staff seem to have their heads on straight. The local non-chains are mostly unimpressive. More hype than value delivered, a lot of tourism so don't seem to care about local customers' repeat business. Overpriced for what you get, for the most part.

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is my favorite and my customers seem to like it very much, so win/win.
