Yes.

He made me this kitchen knife. I use it daily:

Serious business, a bud gives a bud a knife that he made.

Who kissed who? or is that whom?

He likes to cook. I don't, but wanted to branch out into kitchen knives. So he got gifted one to test out and tell me how to make it better.

Apologies to the OP, things wandered far.

To bring it back around, is there any difference better or worse for the conversion kits going from Chrysler to Ford vs Chrysler to GM? The biggest one I've always heard spoken of is the Cummins to xxxx. Rarely any of the gas motors back and forth.

Cool!

I have a broken Buck that a friend carried for 3 tours in V.N. He broke it after he got home. Told me the history, gave it to me & told me that Buck would replace it. No way I thought & have kept it since the 70's.

I offered it back to him just this year. He paused for................ & then told me that he wanted me to keep it. I damn sure will.

Yeah, a big drift, I got blurry vision anyway.

But, we got a V-8 gas Excursion damn near burried in the sandhills of Nebraska this year. Well, not we, my driver. I was riding shotgun & giving instructions. The sand & that big unit didn't mix. Can't see an 1100 lb. Cummins up front helping the situation. For hiway use or towing I guess it would have it's merits.

Fireballz,

Stupid and lazy is a bad combo.

It’s no wonder you live where you do.

I thought about that,,,,,, & agreed. But the posing question, the point of the whole thing was,,,, why? Just to prove you can do it? It's not good for anything other than to prove you have skills, "if" you do it. Or, just to talk silly chit about something that, so far, you've failed to define,,,, why?

The reasoning I saw and had in mind for doing it on a Suburban was parts for a square body Chevy are ubiquitous, and cheap. And even a dunderhead like me can work on them some. Putting in a rebuilt 12v Cummins was to give it a dead nuts reliable means of locomotion. End of days type thinking.

Not the OP, and not the vehicle in question but in true 'fire fashion I answered anyway. laugh

I love the square body Chevys. K20 single cab long bed with a Cummins would be bad azz. 2 tone 1970’s paint with steel wheels and caps.

Maybe one day when a single cab truck makes sense again.

Deer hunting turned out nuts today. Hugh mountain buck... and the haul out.

Shut up dick breath.

No one likes you and absolutely everyone wants you to go away once and for all. Do you not understand?

I swear I had the same problem in kindergarten.

NO... YOU ARE NOT LIKED. GO EAT DIRT.

It may be a difficult concept for a communist from Oregon to understand but for the time being we are not required to play with you. The government cannot make me... and your mommy cannot make me.

I know crapping in the street is completely and totally acceptable where you live.

I also understand by law are you allowed to piss on people just because you want to.

You seek out the status of Oracle at a highly conservative form that is discussing diesel engines and 1-ton SUVs but somehow again and again and again and again he want to make it all about you and how pretty your pile of shiet is in the middle of the street...And why you have a Birthright to piss down somebody's back tell him it's raining and play victim when they complain about it.

You just can't seem to get it.

You are an immature fool and no one likes you and you will not leave.

And no I am not drunk it is 6 a.m. and no I am not angry at all. I am quite tired from humping this big deer out of the woods... but no this thread is not about a deer it is about diesels.

The goal of communist like you is to insert themselves into any agenda they want take a crap in the middle of the room and then blame someone else for the stink.

To perform this action on a daily basis and to remain adamant that you are not a communist... is only proof that you are a liar.

The comments about making the engine swap have been interesting. The rest not so much. I have considered putting a Cummins in a 2011 F550 4WD because it eats turbos. About 20K miles and five turbos. Now there are metal shavings in the oil. Getting rid of the truck is not an option because it is serves a special purpose.
The mechanics and fabrication are less of a challenge than the electronics for me. For that reason I was thinking a donor truck would be better than just an engine swap. A 12 valve would obviously be easier but the donor truck should have all the electronics regardless if it is a 12 valve or 24 valve.
Then there is the emissions thing. I am thinking Dodge went to DEF system about 2008. The re-gen system might have been before that.
