Thanks, Isaac! I think I'll do just that.

He was just 3 in the photo (big boy for his age - notice he's already over 4 wires high on a good fence grin ), so I don't know if he'll remember the hunt, but maybe the picture will remind him of a good day with Dad...You can't believe how tickled he was with those coyotes!

He loves to hunt and shoot. Let him shoot a little 223 just after he turned four and he shot up the whole box and had me digging for more. We had to trot down to see each bullet hole, and he was minute of deer at 100 yards in pretty short order.

DJ

That's adorable! Good for him. grin I love the idea of the framed picture.

okay this is me, I'm the one on the right with the horns. I caught the fellow on the left wandering through my territory so I snuck up on him in the mist and got him with the .243.
You dont often get hunters with that kind of dim look on his face so I skinned him out and got him as a rug back in the forest.

That's a nice hartebeest you have yourself, sir!
I can hog this thread a post and few more field pics I suppose
grin

[Linked Image] With my friend Greg. We tracked this elephant 11 days, and walked 60+ miles. Do we look happy?
[Linked Image] Gemsbok. This is a male. The females usually have longer horns but smaller bases. The PH really had to look at this one a long time to determine it was male, because it is long, but the bases are not very big.
[Linked Image] Mrs Ngrumba and a springbok. I shot two this trip - this one which is typical with the bell shaped horns, and one which was deformed with horns that went straight back like a sable.

[Linked Image] A blue wildebeest - one of the easiest animals to judge - if the horns extend past the eartips - it's a big one. This is one of my best trophies as far as scoring goes. I'm not an "inch man" though - a representative animal is great - it's the hunt that matters

Seen enough or should I continue?

[Linked Image] Puff Adder in the road. These snakes are very slow moving, and easy to step on as they won't get out of your way. One of the quickest striking, most venomous snakes there is. We saw this one and 3 mambas in Namibia.
