May I ask, is the 7x57 Norma different than the 7x57 Mauser?

I think they are both similar to the .284 Ingwe Super.

Since it is a wild and crazy Christmas...
I'm going to take a blind jump off the roof here.....
Since I have necked down 7mm Mauser down to 6mm Remington, by just running it down in a 6mm Rem die and have run 6mm Remington up thru a 7mm Mauser die...
I think you'd be just fine...
If you have or access to a 257 Roberts, neck the 7mm brass down without the spindle in the Roberts die..
Then neck size that down using a 6 mm Rem die, with the spindle in....
there ya have 7 mm Mauser brass necked down to 6mm Remington...
if ya don't have a 257 Roberts die, neck the 7mm brass down in a 6mm Rem, with the spindle out... then neck it up again, with the spindle in....
of course I'm just taking a wild ass guess here... but that usually works....
at least here in Oregon...but then, that's in Oregon...
may not work where you live...
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...& Cheers/ Best Regards...

If you have a 7mm Mauser die, Full length size it with the spindle out of the die..
Then you can use the 243 die, to neck down the upper half... that will work...
or do the same with the 7mm Mauser die first and then full length down size with the 6mm Rem die....
I prefer to work the brass as little as possible...
before neck sizing gown to 6 mm, it wouldn't hurt to anneal the neck, for 6 to 8 seconds... new down while the brass is warm, will make it easier as the brass will be soft....
