Now if you had said Kate Wolf, you would be getting somewhere. My band does this song of hers and our female singer does a great job on it. I seem to like female vocalists who died young from cancer. What's up with that?
The first 1:15 was like 20 years of marriage compressed into 75 seconds.
Lmao that chick needs an exorcism
I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.
Olivia Newton John Marie Fredriksson (Roxette) Nancy Wilson (under rated Heart sister)
In their prime, I would have never been able to choose between Ann and Nancy Wilson. I still fantasize about them today.
A group of us from 3rd plt. B 2/75 went to the Heart concert at the Seattle Coliseum on New Years Eve, 1978. Heart, Head East , I think and one other band. Nancy Wilson came out on stage in a flesh colored body suit. It was brutal, she was so Hot!
Ann was not bad by any means. It would have been a tough choice!
Anne Wilson is a fat lib and her skinny sister on guitar is conservative.
I try not to listen to entertainers' politics, they over-rate their importance. And most of the time make themselves sound real stupid. The conservatives ones usually at least come across as having some common sense.
Mary Travers. My wife was a red haired teen ager in Tokyo in the 70s and was Mary's daughter's babysitter when in Tokyo.
There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self. -Ernest Hemingway The man who makes no mistakes does not usually make anything.-- Edward John Phelps
I’ve had the same favorite since the early 70’s, yes I’m a boomer. It’s unfortunate but she is probably a Libby but dont see her making an ass of herself in public, at least I haven’t. Someone here will probably prove me wrong though.
Life (and forums) is like a box of animal crackers----There's a Jackass in every box
Like a vocalists like i like guitars and actors - with not just range but capable of varying styles and unique gifts, roaring and rumbling like a home garage built mopar.
Jewel makes me weak in the knees. Woman can go from folk to rock to jazz and skat to yodel and back again. Her attractiveness kind of pigeonholed her in her youth, unfortunately.
Honorable mention to Lisa Ekdahl singing in English with the Peter Nordahl Trio. The accent, yeah, but she has this wonderfully delicate, feminine voice. Heard her voice cutting thru the din over the PA in a Swedish train station late 90’s - “Who the F is that...?!?,” had to track it down.
Golldammed motion detector lights. A guy can’t even piss off his porch in peace any more.
