We kept a blind up for years on public water.Finally gave up and rigged a blind on the boat.Much less hassle,still have to deal with the occasional rude idiot who decides to fish in the decoy spread.

i'm not a waterfowl hunter but when i went with my BIL a couple times there was always conflict with placement, etc. rudest mf'ers i ever ran into hunting. sitting there getting shot rained on you all day takes the fun out of it.

read on another site that the shooter rode over to the blind in his boat and shot them after they were shooting at what he thought was his ducks. Supposedly a 3rd hunter was shot and survive and got the other two back to shore. Said they had had disputes before with him.

The young man named Chance Black was the son of Weakley County Chief Deputy Black, one of the good LEOs, plus he is a good friend of mine, not badge heavy or an azzhole. I have not talked to him yet, but will.
I cannot imagine the trauma and loss this senseless murder will render.
