I would like to buy a 1970 Plymouth hemi ‘Cuda. I don’t want to pay scalper prices. Thinking more like 1980 prices when gas was high and they were looked at as gas hogs.
It’s a [bleep] market you dumbazz How about a 70-440 auto ( BS23 SN), 11" drums, ps, pb, vinyl top, one of 420 LA built Plum Crazy driver? LOL

If I remember correctly it was the first 440/6 pack off the line, putting it right behind the hemis for value.

Good luck in getting a game license in SD.
Our license draw would be a joke, but it really sucks.
If you want land look at auction sites and realtor sites. Just don't expect to be able to get a game license.
If you want to buy a place to hunt, I'd suggest Montana, then Wyoming, then Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Utah, and seveeral others before South Dakota.

I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

You can apply for a land owner license. It costs quite a bit more, but it isn't certain that you would get it. Why move to South Dakota if you plan on hunting game animals? You just have to pay out of state fees to hunt in another state.

This is my favorite thread ever Is that a sodak elk in ur profile pic?? No, sadly it isn't. I used to see a lot of Elk when I lived in the Black Hills. But after a life time of applying for elk in South Dakota (I'm in my 70's), I have exactly one elk license. I apply for Black Hills elk and Custer State Park elk every year. You live in a decent elk hunting state and you'll get you license often. In Colorado when I lived there, you were assured of getting an elk license every year.

I have a small bit of land that have deer and pheasants on it. I plant for feeding them. There are dead deer on the road in front of my place every year. But so far I have drawn only one tag for this county. I tell you SD game tag system really sucks.

Pretty sure he was asking me and yes it is. 2013, it was a great experience and spurred me to buy my own place out there. Changed my address in December even. Can't say enough good about it and wish the Governor would stop inviting people to come and join us.

Those scalper prices you speak of is the norm. Land usually sells for around 3x what it will cash flow and it is Gina get worse with grain prices going up...the last time we had a surge in prices land went to 8-13k per acre.

Grain prices going high?!? Compare today to 1979 for Durum and tell me it's going high vs fuel and equipment costs. The land these guys are looking at is mostly grazing land and 20 years ago went for <$100 acre depending on water rights. Some states(N.D.) have put the brakes on non resident ownership and this is a GREAT thing.

I lived in a tiny town near there, actually close to Glasgow, MT. The town once had a place to eat, but it had gone out of business. I think that's near some good deer hunting and Pronghorn too. Montana has it allover South Dakota for hunting game!

My aunt Nellie and her husband homesteaded in SD around the Black Hills. I'm going to hunt her family down this summer after 50 years.
