Hilarious speculation going on here. Yes anything is POSSIBLE but this thread is moments away from Navy SEALS emerging from the lake and killing the boys and leaving the likely unarmed cinematographer to take the fall. Sounds plausible. Better run with it, there ain’t much time.

TBI said Vowell was located around 3 p.m., on Saturday, near the area of the incident where he is accused of killing two duck hunters. TBI officials said his identity has been confirmed and an autopsy will be performed.

Got a call on Wednesday night. Lots of open outfitters blinds. Guess the police tape was flairing birds or people were just scared. I was tempted to load up and go. There's several kill holes out there.

Knocked out of his boat into waist deep water. Water filled the waders. It makes sense that he did not get far. I was duck hunting a slough 20 miles north of Reelfoot 3 weeks ago. +1/4" ice two of the three mornings we hunted. 35*F might have been a little generous. But, you get the idea...

Orion you do any good? Way back when I used to read about Nash Buckingham duck hunting stories on Reelfoot lake. Seemed like that place would be a bucket list location for hardcore waterfowlers. Mb We did "OK"... Nothing close to a limit. But, didn't get skunked, either. Our shooting sucked the first day. Second and third day, we dropped birds out of each group that flared. We hunted with a buddy on a slough on private property. Friend of a friend hunted Reelfoot the week before we got there. Not many birds that week, either. If Reelfoot is on your bucket list, I say "Go for it." I would not let this incident change your mind. And there can be a BUNCH of ducks there. But, like any other type of hunting, timing is everything. Three weeks ago, the cold weather had not yet forced the ducks down out of the upper flyway. With this last bad weather that just came through, today they are probably covered over with ducks. Of course today is also the last day of the season...
