Seems to not have the same neck contour and overall shape as the .375 H&H.

Reasonably sure those are .411 Hawk cartridges but they could be .375 Scovill. When the 1895 re-issues first came out there was an outfit in Alaskan doing conversions.

It was the 1895 that amazed me. Whatever the cartridge, it has to work through that action, obviously. It appears to be at least .375" bore and probably beltless. And I bet it is both very hard to get and eye-wateringly expensive in Alaska. Especially now.

Maybe it’s a 35 Winchester. I believe the model 95 Winchester came in that Caliber.

9.3x62 was my guess. Doesn’t look like a belted case I dont see a belt, even with my readerson. I say its probably a 9.3x62
