Any gun oil that contains any solvent, any solvent, rubbing alcohol, tumbling are how I get Sharpie off the brass.

I do the same thing except I mark the bases with a cross on it for the mildest loads, then two parallel lines, then a single line, a fully colored primer and then a clear primer for the top loads. It’s sorta like the old aviation symbols for overcast skies, broken layers, scattered ceiling and then clear skies.
I use an old typewriter eraser with a course eraser on one and a finer eraser on the other. A couple of swipes and the sharpie marks are gone.

Fingernail polish remover on a gauze pad or cotton ball. Easiest way I’ve found if they aren’t ready to tumble.

Portable cement mixer half full of sand.

Acetone will remove sharpie immediately. Alcohol takes slightly longer......

Depends on the alcohol.........I use everclear at work and 190 will take off sharpie easily as fast as acetone, and you don't have to wear gloves

Lighter fluid..cleans every thing.. I haven't smoked anything in 53 years. However, I have never been without lighter fluid! It takes Sharpie off of just about any hard non-porous surface. It also works great in dissolving tape/label residue. It's my all purpose cleaning fluid. It also works great in flushing trigger assemblies on my bolt guns...
