Here’s one I have posted on the fire recently but not this thread. JES rebore Portugal model 70 from 308 to 338 Federal, shortened to 20” with a barrel band front sight. Detachable peep sight mounts to steel Weaver bases when scope removed. Scope is a Weaver Grand Slam 4.75 fixed. McMillan compact hunter McSwirly black and orange, standard fill. Shoots great, kills well, becoming a favorite.
Its not always easy to do the right thing, But it is always the right thing to do.

🦫 Thanks. All are in the low/mid 10 pound range ready to hunt, excluding the one in the rear. Not light weight, but not insanely heavy.

Damn nice rifles fellas but I prefer mud and blood on my hunting rifles. I have a pre64 270 fw that looks like it was used to hold down barbed wire fences down while crossing when not being used as a boat paddle. That old scarred up sob still shoots 1/2 moa all day long. I’d give anything if it could talk while sitting down and sharing a bottle of Wild Turkey 101. I can only imagine. MAGA

Sold all my hunting rifles. I hunt pigs with a gaff and a club. Lot more exciting.
I am..........disturbed.

A hunting blind pic. My son and my rifles used this last season. Gary Stiles custom 257 Roberts on the right, and a customized Remington 722 in 300 Savage on the left.
