My favorite all-around hunting rifle, 30-06, Remington 700 CDL, 6x Leupold. It's got a Timney trigger, has been pillar bedded and free floated. Shoots great!

Such a simple setup and it's been used to take antelope, mule deer, black bear, elk, wolf and grizzly. So pleased with this rifle:

Oh, it hammers deer, 2,050 with a 158.....using Lil Gun wink

my 77/44 carbine shot patterns. i still have hopes that i will get one that shoots one of these days.

My 2 77/44's shot patterns. I will not be going down that road again. RJ

Mine consistently shoots under 2" at 100 yards with cheap federal HP ammo and I when I hunt with it I use it in places where my longest shots are about 70 yards. It's been a great thick woods gun for me. Maybe I just got lucky.

I will say that most other ammo I tried did not shoot as well. I thought the hornady leverevolution stuff was going to be great but it shot awful.
