The only plausible argument would be a parallel with Washington DC becoming a state. Or Puerto Rico... etc.

At that juncture lots of arguments could be made for the separation of California into two etc.

Border modifications in Virginia and West Virginia... Oregon and Idaho... Texas.

But the Republicans are horrible negotiators and will miss the opportunity for the argument.


If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

Be better if eastern WA and OR could split away on the right side of the Cascade Curtain. Keep the Senate in mind.
