Home Depot had a Black Friday deal on these at $20 or so. They also had a sale on 6.0 amp hour batteries. The ladies in the family have a Ryobi 18 volt string trimmer so I figured I would get a bunch of battery and give one of these grinders a try... although I typically don't think much of Ryobi (some stuff is great, but most is sub Harbor Freight junk). Anyway, I use this tool constantly. I use the thin cut off wheels 99% of the time. Chamfer a piece of steel prior to welding... perfect. Cut off a bad battery terminal... perfect. Shorten a chain, cut a lock, fabricate sheet metal... perfect. The wife had me buy 16' pig panels as a garden trellis. Had to shorten them and this zipped thru the quarter inch steel like butter. I even had to cut some nails holding on a piece of wood skirting the other day... plunged through the wood and cut the nails. Easy as pie. Needed to cut down a huge tarp the other day and zipped right along with the grinder. As fast as I could walk and straight as an arrow. I swear it seems like I use this tool 20 times a day. I wish I'd bought five. What tool do y'all grab constantly?
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

When I was working it was either a can wrench or snips. Now that I'm retired, it's the radio.

Outside of screw/drill drivers, I always seem to have a pair of knipex end cutters in hand.

The F word. It adds strength and power when applied to instruments of work.

When I was working it was either a can wrench or snips. Now that I'm retired, it's the radio. Started off with those, plus a splicing knife... graduated to the punch down tool soon after. Now, It's a serial cable and a laptop.

Not sure, but grinder is high on the list, along with welder and wood lathe.
