Fireball2 Thank you! Howdy from Iowa 'riverboots'! Does your handle have anything to do with any love affair with being on a river. Where I grew up and still do live, we have two rivers going through it, one of which went through my Dad's farm. Love those rivers, esp the one going through the farm. I'm a forever River Rat, lived on those rivers as a kid, still do. Fish, hunt, hike, plink, a dedicated Iowa River Rat am I. Savage 94C Savage94C: Sounds like you live in a great place! Yes, like you, I am a dedicated river rat.

welcome aboard! Ask any questions that come to mind. I recently told another new guy "The only dumb question is the one not asked". This was in response to him saying he didn't want to bore us with dumb questions.
I wrote "A Collector's Guide to the Savage 99 Rifle..." and am pretty knowledgeable on them but not so much on the other models but there are plenty of people here who know a lot about the other models. David Royal

Yes, Wyo1895 "wrote the book" on Savage 99s
And there's another book available by Garnett Stanch about the 219/220 Savage rifles. The author of that book is also open to new questions!
